NBA News at YouWager: Lakers Meet in Hopes of Letting Go of Grievances

The Los Angeles lakers have had a disappointing season thus far and yesterday decided to meet in hopes of letting go of some worries, according to what YouWager has learned.

Before a shootaround in preparation for last night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, coach Mike D’Antoni invited members of the team to meet and discuss several issues.

Kobe Bryant asked Dwight Howard if he was bothered by playing alongside him. Bryant has accepted he could be “hard to play with,” and asked Howard to speak up if he had a problem with it. Howard was “despondent” and wasn’t very communicative.

Nevertheless, Howard argued the details of the story after Wednesday’s game, a 106-93 defeat against Memphis in which he sat out the second half after re-aggravating a right shoulder injury.

After last night’s game, Bryant was asked if he “felt comfortable” with what he said during the team meeting. His response was a simple “Yup.”

Online sports wagering experts consider that the Lakers have been affected by a coaching change and several injuries and this has certainly contributed to their 17-25 record at the season’s halfway point; however, another major factor in their woes has been the lack of rhythm between Howard and Bryant.

After Los Angeles’ 95-83 defeat versus the Chicago Bulls on Monday, Howard complained to reporters about getting only five shots, while Bryant was 7 of 22. Howard stated he was sorry for those comments after Wednesday’s shootaround, calling them “immature.”
