Earlier this week Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert and Golden State Warriors forward David Lee exchanged shoves under the basket with 6:10 remaining in the fourth quarter, sparking a fight that included multiple members from each team and eventually spilled into the stands. YouWager experts report that both players were suspended one game without pay.
The 26 year-old Hibbert will serve his suspension in tonight’s game versus the Los Angeles Clippers. The 29 year-old Lee will not play when the Warriors next meet the New York Knicks.
According to the NBA, Indiana’s guard Lance Stephenson and Golden State’s guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson each were fined $35,000 for “escalating the altercation.”
Furthermore, Hibbert also managed to shove Curry twice and was then ejected after the scuffle. Hibbert then stated that he spoke to league officials Wednesday morning to offer his account of the incident.
The New York native told the Indianapolis Star that he regrets his role in the altercation, which carried into the seats behind the baseline at Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
