Tom Brady’s Contract Extension: NFL News at YouWager

Earlier this year YouWager experts learned that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft flew from Boston to Los Angeles with quarterback Tom Brady for the very first meeting about the possibility of a contract extension that would strengthen the 35 year-old’s chances of retiring as a member of the franchise.

The star player was already under contract for 2013 and 2014, but with the extension, his deal now runs through 2017.

Brady got an additional $3 million to sign the three-year extension, which averages a well-below-market $9 million per season.

Experts believe it’s likely that the sides could renegotiate the contract again in a few years however Kraft doesn’t believe that’s bound to happen.
