Orlando Magic vs. Indiana Pacers
Tip-off: Tuesday, March 19, 2013 – 7:00 PM ET
Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN
YouWager experts consider that David West’s absence did not have a serious effect on the Indiana Pacers in their most recent game, and tonight this basketball team might just get by without him if he is sidelined again given the rival: the lowly Orlando Magic.
A sprained lower back caused the 32 year-old, the Pacers’ second-leading scorer, to miss only his second game this season Monday however Indiana (41-26) cruised to a 111-90 win versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Gerald Green managed to score a team-best 20 points off the bench and West’s replacement in the starting lineup, Tyler Hansbrough, had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
That victory and the Chicago Bulls’ defeat versus the Denver Nuggets placed the Pacers 4 1/2 games ahead in the Central Division. The Pacers will try to pad that lead by earning consecutive victories for the first time since March 1-3.
Indiana has alternated defeats and wins in their last five home games after winning 19 of their previous 21 in Indianapolis. The Pacers have also lost five straight regular-season matchups versus the Magic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, however online sports wagering experts believe this Orlando team will have a much different look than the one that made its last trip to Indiana for last year’s NBA playoffs.
Orlando also had trouble containing the Pacers on March 8, as Paul George’s 25 points led six Indiana in double figures in a 115-86 road win. The Pacers matched their second-highest scoring total of the season while shooting 51.8 percent — including 11 of 19 from 3-point range.
George is averaging 22.3 points on 55.8 percent in his last three regular-season games versus the Magic.
Orlando is visiting the Pacers for the first time since a 105-87 drubbing in the decisive Game 5 of last year’s first-round playoff series. Indiana’s series wins were the team’s first since 2005.
