Chicago Bulls vs. Toronto Raptors
Tip-off: Friday, April 12, 2013 – 7:00 PM ET
Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON
The Chicago Bulls have accumulated victories over all four teams ahead of them in the Eastern Conference standings over the past three weeks. However, YouWager line movers believe it will be difficult for the Bulls to win versus the teams they have to meet next week.
Tonight Chicago will try to keep its grip on the East’s No. 5 seed as the team makes it to Canada to try an avoid a second loss to the Toronto Raptors in four days.
Bettors wonder if Derrick Rose will make it back to the Bulls (43-35) line up, however his injury isn’t the only one the team is dealing with. Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, Marco Belinelli and Richard Hamilton have also been unable to suit up in recent weeks, and Chicago’s recent results have been all over the map as coach Tom Thibodeau has used 15 different starting lineups this basketball season — five since March 23.
That 11-game stretch has included wins versus the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and New York Knicks, with the Bulls ending Miami’s 27-game winning streak March 27 and snapping New York’s 13-game run with Thursday’s 118-111 overtime win.
Leading the way was Nate Robinson with a season-high 35 points, bumping his average to 20.0 over his last 10 games.
Toronto (30-48) has been off since beating Chicago — a victory that snapped the Raptors’ 10-game skid against teams likely headed for the postseason.
Things weren’t all that great for the Raptors on Tuesday, nearly blowing a 16-point lead with 8:22 remaining and allowing Chicago to get within two in the final 20 seconds.
Moreover, rookie center Jonas Valanciunas left the court on a gurney with a neck injury after colliding with teammate Rudy Gay during a scramble in the final seconds.
