YouWager experts have learned that the New York Jets have pauses trade talks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in regards to Darrelle Revis, whose MRI confirmed earlier this week he’s ahead of schedule in his rehab.
As thos New York football team began voluntary workouts in the morning, sources stated that before continuing to explore a trade the Jets would examine its star cornerback for the first time since an October surgery for a torn ACL in his left knee.
The 27 year-old was examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York by Dr. Russell Warren, and got positive and quite expected news. The Dr. cleared Revis to begin running without restrictions.
After the appointment was over Revis reported to his team’s facility for the start of the NFL offseason program.
The Jets’ doctors likely will further review the MRI results and present Revis with a detailed rehab schedule.
The Pennsylvania native was also expected to meet for the first time with general manager John Idzik, who was hired the day after reports of trade talks first surfaced.
At first, Revis wanted to remain in Arizona, where he has been rehabbing his knee since the start of the year, however he reported because the team refused to excuse him for two weeks.
The 4X Pro Bowler chose Arizona mainly to avoid the distraction of being with the team during trade talks. Online sports betting experts believe he could be dealt before the April 25-27 NFL draft.
