Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls
Tip-off: Thursday, May 2, 2013 – 8:00 PM ET
United Center, Chicago, IL
Oddsmakers believe the Chicago Bulls were close to eliminating Deron Williams and the Brooklyn Nets and move on to the second round of the NBA playoffs.
And while they’re still in position to do it things are about to turn more interesting.
With a 3-2 lead, Chicago will try again to wrap it up when the series shifts back to the United Center tonight.
Brooklyn appeared to be all but out of it before a 110-91 win at the Barclays Center on Monday night. Now, Chicago seems to be reeling as they try to avoid a decisive seventh game at Brooklyn on Saturday.
Point guard Kirk Hinrich might miss not be suiting up for the second straight game in a row because of a bruised left calf, and Luol Deng and Taj Gibson were sick Wednesday and stayed home.
Furthermore, Joakim Noah has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot — the same issue dogging Joe Johnson, except it’s in his left foot.
YouWager experts consider that the most important matter for the Nets is trying to find a way to win in Chicago, something the team hasn’t been able to do this season. Brooklyn dropped both regular season matchups there and lost Games 3 and 4.
Only eight teams in the NBA have overcome a 3-1 deficit, and the odds that Brooklyn would add to that number seemed slim at best after Game 4.
