Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat
Tip-off: Monday, May 6, 2013 – 7:00 PM ET
AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami, FL
There are many things the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls could use as extra motivation before meeting in a playoff series. For instance, the Heat rolled to a victory when they met in the Eastern Conference finals two years ago or Chicago being able to snap the reigning champions’ 27-game winning streak down the stretch of this regular NBA season.
However, YouWager experts believe the rivalry between these teams will be enough to give them the fuel they’ll need.
Tonight top-seeded Heat play host to fifth-seeded Bulls in Game 1 of an East semifinal series, with Miami coming off a week of rest after sweeping the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago dealing with aftereffects of a grueling, seven-game first-round series.
The Bulls took an injury-and-illness-riddled roster when meeting the Brooklyn Nets and ousted this team on Saturday night.
The NBA teams split four regular-season meetings, each going 1-1 in home games.
For the Heat, the biggest injury question is Dwyane Wade, who is officially listed as day-to-day with bone bruises around his right knee, but online sports betting fans are likely to see him playing tonight.
For the Bulls, the medical report remains to be worked out. Luol Deng let fans know on Twitter that he would “see you guys in Miami” after missing the end of the Nets series because he needed a spinal tap to rule out meningitis, and Kirk Hinrich missed the last three games of Round 1 with a calf injury.
The status of Deng and Hinrich for tonight is still unknown.
The Bulls made it to Florida yesterday morning and took the day off, which was undoubtedly a well-needed break.
