This year it marked the second time around that LeBron James won a NBA championship. Soon after his new accomplishment the star basketball player started talking about how tough his journey had been growing up in the inner city.
YouWager experts have learned that James is planning on exploring his life’s theme as part of “Survivor’s Remorse,” a new show that the 28 year-old is currently developing with Starz.
James is not likely to star in the half-hour sitcom he will still be one of the executive producers of the show.
The sitcom will explore the lives of two men from the streets who want to be famous. One of the characters is an NBA star and the other one is not. The show will focus on how the men deal with friends and families in the wake of that success.
The Ohio native player is developing the show with his longtime friend and business partner, Maverick Carter; Tom Werner, the producer behind classic shows like “Roseanne” and “The Cosby Show”.
In addition, the show will count with actor Mike O’Malley, who will be an executive producer and is the show’s writer. Paul Wachter will also be an executive producer.
Werner, James and Carter have worked together for the last two years and are part of Fenway Sports Group.
Werner is the chairman of the organization, which combines sports, media and entertainment and according to the producer, they were “delighted” to bring the show, which is in development but has no firm timetable to air, to Starz.
