Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

Kickoff: Monday, at 8:40PM Eastern

Line: Green Bay -10 Total: 51

When the Chicago Bears visit the Green Bay Packers Monday night, Green Bay’s NFL football wagering fans will be hoping the Packers can keep putting those points up on the board. Quarterback Aaron Rogers and company have generated more than 30 points 4 times in the 2013 NFL football betting season. That includes their last two games. The only team ahead of them, in total yards per game, is Denver. Without that kind of yardage, the Chicago Bears have managed to put some points on the board, too. In fact, they average 30.4 to Green Bay’s 30.3. That means the Bears are second only to the Broncos, as well. But this week, Chicago must face Aaron Rogers and his friends with a replacement quarterback. At YouWager, the Bears are 10 point underdogs.

The Packers are 8-0 against the spread in the last 8 times they were favored at home. The Bears have not had much luck in Green Bay. They lost their last 5 contests here, and they only covered the spread once. While Chicago has been a disappointment in the NFC North, Green Bay has been 12-1 in their last 13 divisional matchups. The major advantage the Packers have in this game, is Aaron Rogers. The Bears lost Jay Cutler to injury and will have to make the best of it with Josh McCown. McCown performed well in his first start of the season, against the Redskins. With only 20 throws and 1 touchdown under his belt, online oddsmakers don’t expect McCown to hold his own against an experienced pro like Rogers. In the 2013 season, Rogers has completed 67.1 percent of his throws, for 15 touchdowns. For Rogers to continue, on a roll, his new linebackers, to replace Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher, will have to step up and deliver.

Unlike the Packers, against their divisional rivals, the Bears have struggled. They barely beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-30, and lost to the Detroit Lions 40-32. However, Chicago’s turnover differential is plus-7 on the year. This puts them in the NFL’s top 10. The Bears are 7-3-1 in their last 10 Monday night games. This will be head coach Marc Trestman’s first Monday night game with the team.

In their recent night games at home, the Green Bay Packers are 4-1 against the spread. At YouWager, the Packers are 10 point favorites in this matchup. The Total is 51. Game time Monday night is 8:40PM Eastern.
