The 2 time AP NFL MVP, Tom Brady, who was kept out of Wednesday’s practice due to an illness, was back at the facility this morning and will probably practice today as well.
The New England Patriots’ quarterback’s absence on Wednesday was the first practice he missed all season, as he and long snapper Danny Aiken both missed the session due to illness.
That left Ryan Mallett as the lone quarterback on the field for New England, as he handled duties as both the first-team signal caller for the the team, while also emulating Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for the Patriots defense.
“It was fun,” Mallett said of taking first-team reps. “It was a lot of fun. I like getting to play in our offense.”
In a lighthearted moment yesterday, Belichick, when asked to recall the last time Brady surprised him, replied, “This morning.”
When asked what had surprised him, Belichick added: “We’ll keep that between Tom and I.”
According to YouWager experts, New England will be back on the practice field this morning at 10:45 a.m. EST.
