Odds and Expert Betting Picks for 2018 Daytona 500
The 2018 Daytona 500, the 60th running of the event, is a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race held on February 18, 2018, Contested over 200 laps, on the 2.5-mile (4.0 km) asphalt superspeedway. It will be the first race of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. This is one of the most exciting weeks on the NASCAR calendar, as we get to see all the excitement and hoopla that surrounds the Daytona 500. The big race is set to go this coming Sunday, with Kurt Busch out to try and win in back to back years. He is, as always, going to have some stiff competition in the 60th running of the Daytona 500, and there are currently 4 other drivers ahead of him on the betting board. Let’s take a look at the current favorites for the big race this weekend and get ready to cash in with our auto racing betting picks.
There is no greater feeling. There is no greater history. There is no greater excitement, experience, thrill, pageantry, patriotism or celebration. There is no greater family tradition. There is no greater dream. There is no greater race than The Great American Race. #DAYTONA500 pic.twitter.com/zjaqS1d0s6

Odds and Expert Betting Picks
NASCAR Betting Odds: +650
Keselowski comes in as the favorite, just as he was last year, despite having a bit of a nightmare run at this track in 2017. Keselowski was involved in a fender-bender last year that saw him finish the race in a very disappointing 27th place. Keselowski ended up 4th in the NASCAR driver standings last season with 3 wins. The reason he is at the top here is because of his pedigree at this track, where he has had 3 top 5 finishes and 4 top 10 finishes in 17 attempts. Barring an incident, he should be there or thereabouts at the checkered flag.
NASCAR Betting Odds: +950
Logano finished last season down in 17th in the driver standings with just a single win in the year. He has been solid at the Daytona Speedway in recent years, landing in the top 10 in 3 of his last 4 races there. Logano also took the checkered flag at this race back in 2015. This is a track where he always seems to perform well, so look for him to be among the leaders at the finish.
NASCAR Betting Odds: +1500
Johnson’s best recent performance at Dayton came in 2015 at the Coke Zero 400, where he had a second-place finish. Since then, he has not performed very well at all, with a 12th place finish last July being his best showing. That said, Johnson does have 3 wins at Daytona, including a clean sweep of both races back in 2013. I’m not so sure that he can recover that form this time around, so I will be looking elsewhere for a winner.
NASCAR Betting Odds: +1500
Stenhouse Jr. had a disappointing run at the Daytona 500 last year, failing to finish after an accident, but he turned that around in July by winning the Coke Zero 400 at this track. Stenhouse Jr. has a trip of top 10 finishes at this track through 11 races, with 2 of those coming in his last 3 runs there. He finished down in the #13 spot in the driver’s standings last season, with one other win besides the one that we mentioned earlier.
NASCAR Betting Odds: +2000
Busch finally broke his duck at the 33rd attempt at Daytona Speedway, taking advantage of some accidents to take the checkered flag at the Daytona 500 last year. It was a win that we should probably have seen coming given that it was the 4th time that he had landed in the top 10 there in 6 attempts. Over the course of his career, he has raced at this track 33 times, finishing the top 10 on 17 different occasions. There is a lot that can go wrong in any race, making it tough to win, but I like Busch to win back to back Daytona 500’s.
