NCAAF Betting Predictions: Alabama, Georgia, Texas and More
It’s getting to be crunch time for the top teams in college football betting, as there are only a few weeks left to impress the Playoff Committee, which will release its first 2017 rankings on Halloween night. At this point, we know that Alabama and Georgia will be sitting in the top 2 spots, but after that, things are a bit of a crapshoot.
Both of the SEC big guns are in action this weekend in what could be very tricky games, while TCU will try to recover from their first loss of the season with a tough in-state game versus Texas. Let’s take a closer look at all three of those games, while also making some betting predictions.

LSU Tigers vs Alabama Crimson Tide
The odds are very good that the Alabama Crimson Tide will be sitting in the #1 spot heading into this weekend, but will they still be there on Sunday morning? Alabama has a vicelike grip on the SEC West lead at the moment, but there are still a couple of teams that could knock them down a peg, with the LSU Tigers certainly being one of those teams.
Alabama has not really been tested this season, and are making things look a little too easy. LSU had their struggles early on, but have put together 3 straight wins, including a big victory over the Auburn Tigers. Alabama is 8-2 SU in their last 10 meetings with LSU, but are just 3-5-2 ATS in their last 10 homes games versus the Tigers. The 21-point spread is big here, but it’s tough to go against Alabama at this stage of the season.

South Carolina Gamecocks vs Georgia Bulldogs
It seems as though we have been waiting for a very long time for a team to come along that could seriously challenge Alabama’s SEC dominance, but it looks as though the Georgia Bulldogs may be that team. The Dawgs have been nothing short of brilliant on defense, and are riding a superior running game all the way to the SEC East title. A win over the Gamecocks this weekend may just seal the deal.
Before the Bulldogs get too far ahead of themselves, they will need to take care of a South Carolina team that always seem to play them close. These two have evenly split their last 10 meetings, and just two points separate them in the average score in those games. This is a different year, though, and Georgia is truly dominant. I like Georgia to score early and often as they win and cover the 21-point spread.

Texas Longhorns vs TCU Horned Frogs
The TCU Horned Frogs had dreams of a playoff spot dancing in their heads heading into last week’s game versus Iowa State, but those dreams were shattered in a 14-7 loss. TCU needs a lot of things to go their way if they want to be in the final four, and it all begins with winning out, starting this weekend when they welcome in the 4-4 Texas Longhorns.
TCU are 7-point favorites for this game, but they have reason to be a little nervous, especially when you consider that Texas has gone 7-1 ATS in their 8 games this season. That said, the Longhorns have not had a lot of joy on the road to TCU in recent years, going 1-4 SU and ATS in their last 5 visits.
I like TCU to get the win here, but I am looking at a push with my final score prediction. This one really could go either way ATS.
