We are coming off another big week in baseball, and one that saw some changes at the top of the divisions across both leagues. It continues to be a surprising season, as some of the surprise teams in the early going continue to win, while some of the early season favorites are still found it tough to break out of their early season swoon. The week ahead looks to be one filled with great MLB Series betting opportunities, as we have a whole slew of great series on the schedule. It’s a tough task, but we have narrowed those series down into the ones that really grab our attention, so let’s take a look.

Atlanta Braves Vs Chicago Cubs
The Braves have long been rumored to have the best minor league set-up in baseball, and now all those young players are starting to come through and make an impact. The Braves are surprisingly at the top of the NL East, with a slender lead over the Phillies and Nationals, both of whom are breathing down the neck of the Braves. The Cubs are having a tough time finding any sort of consistency to start the season, but with the Central being so tight, they are still just a game out of first despite being 4th in the Division. Two good teams here in what should be a fun series to watch and wager on.
Houston Astros Vs LA Angels
The race in the AL West is a good one, with the Houston Astros and LA Angels both spending some time at the top in the early going. It is the Astros who have the upper hand right now, although they are just a single game up on the Angels in second place. Both of these teams have been scoring runs for fun this year, with both hammerings in 202 runs. The Astros have gained their edge in the division by having the superior pitching stats, so it’s definitely going to be interesting to see how the high-scoring Angels combat that.
New York Yankees Vs Washington Nationals
The Yankees have surged to the top of the AL East on the wave of a spectacular run of form where they have been almost unbeatable for a month. Everything seems to be clicking for the Yankees right now, and they are a team that no-one wants to run into. The Washington Nationals may be able to hang with them, though, as they have now suddenly found their feet after getting the season off to a very slow start. They have quietly started winning again, and are now just a game and a half back of the Atlanta Braves for first place in the NL East. Two of the best teams that each division has to offer going head to head here. What’s not to like?
St. Louis Cardinals Vs Minnesota Twins
These are a pair of teams involved in tight division races, with both of them currently sitting in second in their respective divisions. The Cardinals are just a half-game out in the tightly packed NL West and have the opportunity to take over the lead with a good showing this week. The Twins are in second place in the AL Central, a game and a half back of the Cleveland Indians, but they are also 2 games under .500. They are looking to get back above the .500 mark, and are making good progress, going 7-3 in their last 10 games.
