As we head into the final stretch of the NBA regular season, we are reaching do or die time for a lot of teams. Even the teams who have clinched a spot can’t truly relax, as there is still the business of securing the best seed possible before the postseason gets underway. Every team wants to secure home-court advantage for at least one round in the playoffs, so expect to see some real scrambling over the final few games of the season. The weekend calendar in the NBA is jam-packed, but we have picked out what we believe are the games to keep an eye on over the next few days and get some wagering action started. Let’s get right to the action.

New Orleans Pelicans (43-32) Vs. c(45-30)

Game Information

What: New Orleans Pelicans (43-32) Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (45-30)
When: Friday, March 30, 2018, at 8:00 P.M. ET
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH
The Line: Cleveland Cavaliers -4. -110 | -180 | U226½ -110

The Cavaliers looked to be rounding into playoff shape, reeling off 5 straight wins, but that all came crashing down with a loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night. The Heat held Cleveland to just 79 points, which only served to fuel the chatter about the Cavs not being a legitimate championship contender. One thing that you cannot take away from the Cavaliers is how good they are when playing in their own building, where they have gone 25-11 this season. They have what looks to be a tough one on Friday night with Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans coming to town. This should be a fantastic match-up, and it’s one that I think the Cavs will survive by the skin of their teeth.

Predicted Score: New Orleans Pelicans 109 Cleveland Cavaliers 111

Toronto Raptors (55-20) Vs. Boston Celtics (52-23)

Game Information

What: Toronto Raptors (55-20) Vs. Boston Celtics (52-23)
When: Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 7:30 P.M. ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA
TV: NBATV, Sportsnet One, CSNN
The Line: TBA

Mathematically speaking, the Eastern Conference is still there for the taking, but the reality here is that the Raptors are unlikely to be caught, given that they have a 3 ½ game lead over the Boston Celtics. A win over their closest challenger this weekend could well be the final nail in the coffin, so you need to expect that the Raptors are going to come out with all guns blazing. Strangely enough, these two have the exact same in one area. The Celtics are 24-13 at home while the Raptors are 24-13 on the road. Something has to give here, and I think it will be the Raptors who improve their road record.

Predicted Score: Toronto Raptors 104 Boston Celtics 101

Houston Rockets (61-14) Vs. San Antonio Spurs (44-32)

Game Information

What: Houston Rockets (61-14) Vs. San Antonio Spurs (44-32)
When: Sunday, April 1, 2018, at 3:30 P.M. ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA
The Line: TBA

There has been a bit of a changing of the guard in the Western Conference this season, with the Houston Rockets set to steal the conference crown from the Golden State Warriors. Houston is on an absolute tear right now and looks about as close to unbeatable as a team can be. It’s hard to put into words just how good this team has been, but a look at their 31-6 home record should give you some idea. They are on the road for this one, though, going against a Spurs team that is beginning to show some cracks in their consistent veneer. I think the Rockets continue to roll this weekend.

Predicted Score: Houston Rockets 114 San Antonio Spurs 107

Indiana Pacers (45-31) Vs. LA Clippers (41-34)

Game Information

What: Indiana Pacers (45-31) Vs. LA Clippers (41-34)
When: Sunday, April 1, 2018, at 3:30 P.M. ET
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
The Line: TBA

What we have here is a pair of teams in very different spots in this late stage of the season. The Indiana Pacers have already clinched a spot and are now just looking to land in the best spot possible. It is getting close to panic time for the Clippers, as they are sitting below the playoff line, albeit well within reach of the final spot. The Pacers are hot right now, winning 3 in a row and 7 of their last 10, so they are going to prove to be a real handful for the Clippers.

Predicted Score: Indiana Pacers 107 LA Clippers 106
