With just one week to go before the NBA All-Star break, the push in on for all teams to finish the first half strong before getting a well-earned rest. This last week will also give teams the opportunity to get some playing time in for the guys who came over at the trade deadline, with the Cleveland Cavaliers among the busiest on the final day. As is always the case heading into the weekend, there are a lot of big games on tap in the NBA, so let’s break them down and come up with some NBA Predictions to hopefully boost your bankroll over the next couple of days.

Indiana Pacers Vs Boston Celtics

The Celtics have seen their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference whittled down to a single game as the Toronto Raptors make a serious push for that #1 seed. Boston has been money at home SU this season, going 21-8 so far, but will have a tough test on their hands on Friday night when they welcome in an Indiana Pacers team that is 6-4 in their last 10 games and holding on to the #6 spot in the East. The Pacers have struggled on the road, though, currently sitting 3 games below .500 away from home. By no means an easy one for Boston, but I think they get the win.

Denver Nuggets Vs Houston Rockets

One of the big questions coming into this season was whether anyone in the Western Conference could challenge the Golden State Warriors. The Houston Rockets have proven to be that team, as they are just a game back of the Dubs at the top. Houston is about as hot as it gets right now, going 9-1 in their last 10 games, while also going 20-6 at home this season. The Denver Nuggets are currently above the playoff line and in a good run of form, coming into this one with 3 straight wins. Tough to imagine the Rockets dropping this one at home.

San Antonio Spurs Vs Golden State Warriors

You cannot talk about consistency in the NBA without mentioning the San Antonio Spurs. While it has been a few years since their last championship, they are consistently among the top3 or 4 teams in the league every year. They are nestled comfortably in the #3 spot in the West and will once again match their great defense against the powerful offense of the Golden State Warriors. The champs have not looked particularly great in the past couple of weeks, with coach Steve Kerr claiming that his troops are tired and need a break. This should be a good one, with a tight win for the Warriors.

Cleveland Cavaliers Vs Boston Celtics

The Cleveland Cavaliers were incredibly active at the trade deadline as they attempted to inject some new blood into a body line-up that has looked lethargic this season. The Cavs issues extend well beyond the court, though, so only time will tell if the changes made make any kind of difference. This is a busy weekend for the Celtics, but they can show that they are the team to beat in the East if they can win both of their games in the next few days. The Cavaliers have struggled on the road and could be in trouble in Boston.
