New Orleans was on the wrong end of a shocking 13-10 road loss to Dallas while never coming close to covering the spread as a 7.5-point favorite. Drew Brees and the Saints’ high-scoring offense were held to just 10 third-quarter points in the loss. Brees was limited to just 127 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception.

“As an offense, we think complementary football,” Brees said. “Let’s put together a drive. Let’s keep our defense off the field. Let’s control the game, control the clock, control the ball. Just never felt like we really did that as an offense like we’ve done this year.”

Tampa Bay picked up a fantastic 24-17 win over Carolina on Sunday as Jameis Winston tossed two TD passes and the Bucs’ defense picked off Cam Newton four times to get the win with undrafted safety Andrew Adams recording three of those interceptions.

“You definitely dream about interceptions, but three in one game? No,” said Adams, who signed with the Bucs on Sept. 25 and had only one pick in 38 career games prior to Sunday. “But, it’s just a blessing. I give all glory to God.”

• Saints are 12-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
• Saints are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up loss.
• Buccaneers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC South.
• Buccaneers are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following a straight up win.

I know the Saints are averaging a stellar 34.9 points per game to rank third in scoring, but Tampa Bay is putting up a solid 26.5 points per game to rank an impressive 10th in scoring. While the Bucs also allow about five more points per game than the Saints, I like Tampa Bay to find a way to cover the chalk as a slightly more than touchdown home dog. The Home team in this NFC South divisional rivalry has gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings and the Saints are an identical 1-4 ATS in their last five road dates against Tampa Bay. I’ve got the Bucs covering the spread in this one!

Predicted Score: New Orleans Saints 28 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24

NFL Week 14 Parlay Picks for the Weekend! New-England-Patriots-at-Miami-Dolphins

The Patriots have won two straight including their 24-10 smackdown win over Minnesota on Sunday night as quarterback Tom Brady passed for 311 yards and one touchdown while New England’s defense picked off Kirk Cousins twice and sacked him on two other occasions in the win. Full back James Develin added a pair of rushing scores in the win. The Patriots average 27.6 points per game (7th) while allowing 21.6 points per contest defensively (9th).

“Every guy on the offense, they’re hungry. You know, just like the defense. We’re all hungry,” Patriots receiver Cordarrelle Patterson said. “We all know our role and we embrace it.”

Miami managed to snap a two-game skid and keep their postseason hopes alive by beating Buffalo 21-17 this past weekend to narrowly cover the spread as a 3.5-point home favorite. Ryan Tannehill passed for 137 yards but tossed three touchdowns and just one interception while Miami’s defense picked off Buffalo’s Josh Allen twice in the much-needed victory. The Fins got the win despite being out-gained 415-175 yards.

“It beats the heck out of the alternative,” said Tannehill.

The Dolphins averaged just 20.3 points per game (25th) while allowing 25.0 points per contest defensively (20th).

• Patriots are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC East.
• Patriots are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 road games.
• Patriots are 37-15 ATS in their last 52 games overall.
• Dolphins are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
• Dolphins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
• Dolphins are 4-10 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• Dolphins are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games in December.

Despite the fact that New England is far superior on both sides of the ball and have a quarterback that is better than Miami’s Ryan Tannehill on his very worst day, I’m going to advise you to back the Miami Dolphins to at least cover the chalk in this week 14 AFC East divisional battle. The Dolphins beat the Patriots the last time they visited South Beach and they’ve beaten New England outright in four of their last five home dates overall.

The Home team in this AFC East rivalry has gone 13-3 ATS in their last 16 meetings and the Patriots are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings in Miami. The Dolphins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and I like them to cover the chalk, even though New England is clearly the superior team on both sides of the ball.

Predicted Score: New England Patriots 31 | Miami Dolphins 24

Cincinnati-Bengals-at-Los-Angeles-Chargers

Cincinnati is struggling at the worst time possible. The Bengals have lost four straight and come into this contest off a discouraging 24-10 smackdown loss against Denver this past weekend. With starter Andy Dalton out because of a torn ligament in his thumb, backup Jeff Driskell passed for 236 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The Bengals average 23.8 points per game () while giving up a whopping 30.9 points per contest defensively to rank dead last in points allowed.

The Chargers have won two straight and six of their last seven games including their terrific 33-30 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Veteran quarterback Philip Rivers passed for 299 yards and two touchdowns while engineering a game-winning drive on L.A.’s final possession that ended with Michael Badgley’s game-winning 29-yard field goal on the final snap. Los Angeles averages a stellar 28.3 points per contest (6th) while limiting the opposition to just 20.8 points per contest defensively (7th).

“It was `Let’s go win it,” Rivers said. “Let’s make this the last drive and win it.”

• Bengals are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.
• Bengals are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC.
• Bengals are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games in Week 14
• Chargers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. AFC.
• Chargers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
• Chargers are 11-24 ATS in their last 35 home games.

While I’m not real fond of the high point spread surrounding this Week 14 matchup, I’m going to advise you to back the red-hot Chargers to take out the absolutely reeling Bengals in this contest.

Cincinnati has gone 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an SU loss, while also going 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. Conversely, the Chargers have gone 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games in Week 14 and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record.

Predicted Score: Los Angeles Chargers 35 | Cincinnati Bengals 17
