NHL Betting Odds – Cash in On game 2 As Vegas Looks to Take Series Lead
Despite being an expansion team, there’s no doubt that the Vegas Golden Knights are clearly no longer a novelty! Every single time the Knights have been doubted or punched in the mouth, they’ve answered the bell with their own series of flurries that have more often than not, left their opponents battered and beaten.
This was undeniably the case in Game 2 as Vegas rebounded from a humbling Game 1 loss to wrest home-ice advantage away from the high-scoring Winnipeg Jets. Now, with Game 3 looming on Wednesday, the Knights will look to take a lead in the Western Conference finals to take another step toward becoming the first expansion team in North American sports history to reach a championship series in its inaugural season.
If you’re looking to find out which team is offering the best value in this mid-week matchup, then let’s get to my expert NHL betting odds pick right now.

Winnipeg looked absolutely phenomenal in their 4-2 series-opening win on Saturday, but the Jets got completely humbled in Monday’s 3-1 home loss to Vegas. Still, they say they’re not overly worried heading to Vegas without home-ice advantage.
“I don’t think anybody is panicking,” Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba said. “We like our road game. We like where it was in the Nashville series.”
The Knights jumped all over the Jets from the outset as Jonathan Marchessault scored twice to send a very deliberate message.
“Every time we need a big game as a group, we show up,” Marchessault said. “We showed the hockey world we earned the right to be here.”
Tomas Tatar scored 6:37 into the game for the Golden Knights and Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 30 saves. Fleury, who helped lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to three Stanley Cups, was fantastic in goal again to back up his all-star selection.
“Fleury had to make three or four really good saves in the first seven minutes,” Vegas coach Gerard Gallant said. “We rebounded after that. We got that 2-0 lead and it was a different game for us. When teams are chasing the lead, it’s tough for teams to battle back.”
After losing Game 1 Marchessault made a stunning declaration to reporters about how his team would show up in Game 2.
“If you’re going to talk out there in the media that you have to be better, I think you need to lead by example,” he said. “I tried to do that.”
While I don’t expect Winnipeg to just roll over now that they’ve lost a home-ice advantage, I just don’t see Vegas blowing this Game 3 matchup on their home ice. The Knights have a bunch of veterans with chips on their shoulders and I just don’t see them blowing their first home game at home in the conference finals.
I know the Jets are 4-1 in their last 5 road games, but the Knights are a blistering 32-12 in their last 44 home games, 35-16 in their last 51 games playing on 1 days rest and 9-3 in their last 12 games overall. Vegas is focused and very good at both ends of the ice and playing at home. The Golden Knights are the pick to win and cover the chalk.
Pick: Vegas 4 Winnipeg 2
