Expert Pick and Prediction

Josh Warrington might be the only unbeaten fighter in this championship pairing, but he won’t be by the time this intriguing showdown is over. Yes, Warrington has a slight size advantage and he’s very aggressive by nature, but I believe Carl Frampton is the more technically sound fighter, not to mention, he’s got a big advantage in pure power.

I’m expecting Frampton to turn this bout into one that is eerily striking to his last bout. Frampton will look to slow this bout down to a crawl where he can then get inside and pound Josh Warrington with a bunch of vicious body shots that will weaken the IBF champ and leave him vulnerable to a KO. While I don’t see Frampton hitting the canvas in this one, I also don’t see how he beats a a better technical boxer and stronger puncher in Carl Frampton. I like Frampton to hand Warrington the first loss of his career, via unanimous decision.

Predicted Result: Carl Frampton via Unanimous Decision
