The average UFC fan often needs to shell out a whole lot of money to see the biggest fights, as those are the ones that tend to land on PPV. That said, Fox Sports have done a fantastic job of making quality fights available to the fans for free, and that is what we will get this coming Saturday, January 27, as we get a great main card for UFC Fight Night on FOX 27. The main car features 4 great fights, but the highlight of the lot has to be the rematch between Jacare Souza and Derek Brunson in a 5-round middleweight battle. We were supposed to also see Ovince Saint Preux and Ilir Latifi go head to head on this card, but that has been moved to UFC on Fox 28 due to an injury to Latifi. Still a great main card, though, so let’s take a closer look at this UFC betting preview and go over 4 fights set to highlight this event, which will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Spectrum Arena.

Drew Dober (-175) Vs Frank Comacho (+155)

This is the bout that has been added to replace the Saint Preux/Latifi fight, and it promises to be a good one. Dober is heading back up in weight class after a brutal first-round victory over Josh Burkman last July, and he certainly has the punching power to get the job done quickly. Dober is 18-8 MMA and 4-4 UFC in his career and will be up against Frank Comacho, who is 21-5 MMA and 1-1 UFC. This is a pretty even looking welterweight match-up, but I like the power that Dober brings to the octagon, and would not be shocked to see a KO win.

Gregor Gillespie (-575) Vs Jordan Rinaldi (+445)

Next up is a lightweight battle between the unbeaten Gregor Gillespie and Jordan Rinaldi. Gillespie is an incredibly accurate puncher who can hit opponents with a furious flurry of blows that are hard to defend, yet he does not usually win by KO. Rinaldi does his best work on the mat, with the majority of his 13 wins coming via submission. That said, Gillespie is particularly good at defending the takedown attempts, which should allow him to control this bout and fight on his terms. I’m going with Gillespie to win this one by submission.

Dennis Bermudez (-150) Vs Andre Fili (+130)

Of the 4 fights on the main card this coming Saturday, this featherweight battle may well be the toughest to call. Both men are very similar in terms of their stats, and both are coming into this bout after going W-L-D in their last three fights. Bermudez is going to do all he can to get Fili to the mat, as that is where he does his best work. Bermudez is especially effective in defending the takedown, but Fili is a fighter who is good in a number of different facets of the game, so he has several ways he can beat you. It is Fili’s ability to adapt to his opponent that will get him the slight upset win here.

Jacare Souza (-150) Vs Derek Brunson (+130)

Rematches usually come pretty quickly on the heels of the previous match-up, but this is one that has been 5 years in the making. When these two last met in 2012, it was Souza who dispatched Brunson in just 36 seconds. A lot has changed since then, though, and it can be argued that Brunson is coming into this one on the better run of form. He has won stopped or knocked out his opponent in each of his last 6 bouts, while Souza is still licking his wounds after a humbling defeat to Robert Whittaker in his last fight. I’m going with Brunson to turn the tables and get the KO win here.
